The Granite Park Chalet

The chalet was built in 1914 by the great northern railway and is a national historic landmark contributing property being one of five structures in the great northern railway buildings district.

Granite park chalet was built in 1914 and 1915 by the great northern railway to provide comfortable back country accommodations inside glacier national park. Mount gould looms above it. The only downside to our hike to granite park chalet was that the highline trail was closed and we had to hike up the loop trail.
